Leaky Gut

by Mr Vigour

If your gut is leaking, so is your health. Let’s rebuild it together.

Leaky gut syndrome, also known as intestinal hyperpermeability, occurs when the tight junctions in the intestinal lining become damaged, allowing toxins, undigested food particles, and harmful microbes to leak into the bloodstream. This triggers chronic inflammation and immune system dysfunction, which can show up as a variety of health issues.

Symptoms of leaky gut include:

  • Digestive issues (bloating, gas, diarrhea, constipation)
  • Food sensitivities (gluten, dairy, sugar, etc.)
  • Autoimmune disorders (Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus)
  • Skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, acne)
  • Mood disorders (anxiety, depression)
  • Chronic fatigue & brain fog
  • Joint pain & inflammation

If you’re struggling with multiple symptoms, your gut lining may be compromised. An iris analysis can reveal the presence of leaky gut, it is seen as radii solaris. I’ve shown you this before in previous posts, and you can see it again here on my podcast episode introduction to iridology:

So what causes leaky gut?

Leaky gut develops due to several factors, including:

1. Parasites, Candida, & Harmful Microbes.

Pathogenic organisms break down the gut lining, leading to increased permeability. Some of the worst offenders include:

  • Parasites: Hookworms, roundworms, tapeworms, and flukes burrow into the intestinal walls, creating inflammation and microscopic tears.
  • Candida overgrowth: This opportunistic yeast produces toxic byproducts that damage the mucosal barrier.
  • Pathogenic bacteria (SIBO, H. pylori, E. coli, C. difficile): These harmful bacteria release endotoxins that degrade the gut lining and contribute to inflammation.
  • Viruses: Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and Cytomegalovirus (CMV) are linked to gut inflammation and permeability.

This is why parasite cleansing is critical, because if you don’t remove the root cause, your gut will never fully heal. Exodus was created for a purpose such as this!

2. Poor Diet Choices

The Standard Western Diet (SWD) is one of the biggest contributors to leaky gut.

  • Gluten & processed grains: Gluten triggers zonulin, a protein that increases gut permeability.
  • Dairy: Casein in dairy irritates the gut lining and fuels inflammation.
  • Refined sugar & artificial sweeteners: Feed Candida and pathogenic bacteria, worsening dysbiosis.
  • Processed foods & seed oils: High in inflammatory omega-6 fats that degrade gut integrity.
  • Alcohol & caffeine: Disrupt gut microbiota and weaken mucosal defenses.

A whole-food, anti-inflammatory diet is essential for gut repair!

3. Chronic Stress & Medications

  • Antibiotics kill beneficial gut bacteria, leading to microbiome imbalance.
  • NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin) break down the gut lining over time.
  • Chronic stress raises cortisol, which thins the gut lining and promotes dysbiosis.

Reducing stress and supporting gut-friendly lifestyle changes is crucial. If you feel like stress is getting the better of you, then I’ve got you sorted with Alleviate, my anti-stress formula.

How to Heal Leaky Gut Naturally

1. Cleanse the Colon & Remove Pathogens

Before rebuilding the gut lining, you need to eliminate toxins, parasites, and waste buildup. My certified organic colon cleanse supplement gently removes accumulated mucoid plaque and undigested or impacted waste, helping to restore proper digestion. This is essential because:

  • It flushes out harmful microbes that contribute to leaky gut.
  • It supports bowel regularity, preventing toxic reabsorption.
  • It reduces gut inflammation by removing irritants.

Regular colon cleansing is the foundation of gut healing in regenerative detoxification.

2. Restore the Gut Microbiome with Probiotics

After cleansing, replenishing healthy gut bacteria is crucial.

  • Probiotic supplements help restore balance, especially Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains.
  • Fermented foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir naturally rebuild gut flora.
  • Prebiotics like inulin, psyllium, slippery elm feed beneficial bacteria and enhance gut repair.

Both Exodus and Colon Cleanse contain probiotics, but it’s also beneficial to include a dedicated probiotic that can rebuild a healthy gut microbiome. Check this one out:

3. Repair the Gut Lining with Glutamine

L-Glutamine is the single most important amino acid for rebuilding intestinal walls.

  • A study published in Clinical Nutrition found that 10g of glutamine daily significantly improves gut permeability and reduces inflammation in individuals with IBS and leaky gut.
  • Glutamine feeds enterocytes, the cells that rebuild the intestinal lining.
  • It reduces inflammation and strengthens tight junctions to prevent further leaks.

Dosage: Take 10g daily for optimal gut healing and intestinal repair:

4. Eat Gut-Healing Foods

Incorporate foods that nourish and restore the intestinal lining:

  • Bone broth – Rich in collagen & amino acids for gut repair.
  • Aloe vera juice – Soothes and heals the gut lining.
  • Slippery elm & marshmallow root – Coat and protect the intestines. Can be added individually to a healing program.
  • Wild-caught salmon & sardines – Provide omega-3s to reduce gut inflammation.
  • Coconut oil & MCT oil – Antimicrobial & support gut healing.

Alternatively you can take a fish oil supplement that contains EPA and DHA, like this one here:

5. Reduce Stress & Support Detox Pathways

Reducing stress can drastically improve your gut health, and promote more efficient detoxification while you’re healing. Including these protocols can support a healthy stress response:

  • Daily prayer & meditation on scripture lower cortisol and support healing.

  • Gentle movement like walking improves gut motility.
  • Hydration flushes out toxins and supports cell regeneration. Make sure you’re drinking 1 ounce of water per 1.5 pounds of body weight daily.
  • Deep breathing exercises can significantly improve your stress response and lower cortisol levels. You can learn about biblical Breathwork HERE.
  • A liver detox with milk thistle enhances overall gut function and can optimize your healing capacity. For an added layer of healing, I’ve got you covered here:
